I am excited about the future! Old ways are no longer relevant, and what is now occurring is open to so many possibilities. According to Dawna Markova in Spirituality & Health Magazine, there is a shift in mindset from being marketshare to being  mindshare. In the marketshare model; people use power over others to win, they lead as a hero, they believe one is right or wrong, they value things, they ask what others think of them, and they ask how smart they are.

In the mindshare model; people use influence with others to connect, they lead as a host, they ask how smart they all are, and value is created by the exchange of ideas and connections.

The three aspects of mindshare are attention, intention, and imagination.

As an introvert, this approach is terrifying. As a creative person, this approach is amazing!

Working with others, listening to differing viewpoints, debating solutions- all good stuff. These new skills require patience, understanding, and the desire for a common outcome.
