Positive Effects of Water

From birth, man carries the weight of gravity on his shoulders. He is bolted to earth. But man has only to sink beneath the surface and he is free.

-Jacques-Yves Cousteau

It’s no surprise that water can have positive effects on our mood. Swimming underwater gives us a quiet that we can’t get anywhere else. Our bodies become free and light. Like a womb, we can feel safe and nurtured. A warm bath can have the same calming effect. So next time you’re looking for something comforting, you don’t have to look far. Just head for the water!

So true! Just imagining being in water helps.
