About the Three of Us

image      image

The three of us – Amy, Helen and Laura – were on our own for the first time. We were young, courageous, adventurous souls meeting by chance at the end of the dorm hallway. Our rooms were next to one another and our friendship became as deep as the history of our Ox College dormitory.

A few years later, we backpacked throughout Europe together on an adventure of a lifetime.

Now, at the age of 55, we reflect together on those years and see that we are bound by common desires and hopes. Although kindred spirits, our points of reference are as distinct as the lives we’ve chosen.

Join us as we welcome 55 by keeping up with the times, stepping out of our comfort zones, and slowing down with intention.  And sometimes we’re looking for change in ourselves and in the world.

We've invited Jim Fox to write this post. He has long been talented with a turn of the phrase, and is currently even writing a novel. For many years, Jim was referred to as the poet laureate of the city of Mason, Ohio because his poems were in such high demand by his coworkers and friends.
